Kedarnath Jyotirlinga
Kedarnath Temple is one of the most sacred Hindu shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple was originally built by the Pandavas and later revived by the philosopher-saint Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century. It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, making it an important pilgrimage destination. Due to heavy snowfall, the Kedarnath temple remains open only from April/May to November each year. Kedarnath is also part of the famous Char Dham Yatra, attracting thousands of devotees annually.
